On the other hand, regarding the administrative route, if you test positive with more than 0.5 mg/l in expired air or 0.3 in the case of professional or novice drivers, you will be administratively sanctioned as follows:
- Fine of 500 euros that is multiplied by 2 in case of recidivism or double the allowed rate.
- Withdrawal of 6 points from the card.
In the event that the level of alcohol in expired air is greater than 0.25 mg/l and less than 0.5 or is between 0.15 and 0.30 in the case of novices or professionals, the sanction is as follows:
- 500 euro fine.
- Withdrawal of 4 points from the card.
When the rate exceeds 0.6 mg/l in expired air, we are already talking about a criminal offense and the sanctions described in points 2 and 3 of this article are applied.
